My approach…

I truly love my work as a therapist. I have been inspired by the image of a willow tree: thick, heavy roots planted deeply in the ground, immovable; and wispy, light branches and leaves, easily moved and impacted. This is my intention in our work: to be sturdy and reliable, while also flexible and open to change. I utilize humor a lot, and think the most healing relationships are real relationships. You’ll get to know me as I get to know you.

Whether you are experienced in therapy or this is your first time, I will guide you through the steps of identifying where you are, where you’d like to be, and what we might do together to get you there.

While I do not accept insurance, I am able to provide a superbill in some instances. If you’re interested in utilizing your insurance, please contact them to discuss reimbursement for an out-of-network provider. Alternately, I am contracted with Lyra’s EAP program, so can invoice them if your employer offers this benefit.

About me…

I graduated from The Seattle School with a Masters in Counseling Psychology in 2011. I spent the first decade+ of my career working for a non-profit agency offering therapy to youth and families in the foster care and adoption systems. I provided TF-CBT, EMDR, family therapy, motivational interviewing, and relational psychotherapy. This work vastly deepened my awareness of the impact of familial relationships, and the crucial importance of social support networks. We need family, biological or chosen.

In 2016 supported the opening of a DBT-A Clinic for youth with Medi-cal, receiving extensive training through UCSF’s Adolescent DBT Clinic. As a supervisor and therapist in this clinic, I supported youth struggling with suicidal ideation, self-harm, eating disorders, and family members with personality disorders (particularly Borderline Personality Disorder). During this time, I also receiving training in CBT, ERP, and Family-Based Treatment for Eating Disorders.

From 2019-2023 I served as the Clinical Director, overseeing various programs serving foster youth, and developing our clinical services and staff.

In 2023, I left the non-profit and opened a private practice in order to focus more fully on direct work with clients. I have focused my training on deepening my skills in couples therapy, EMDR approaches, and supporting survivors of complex trauma.

Outside of my practice, I live in SF with my husband and my two sons. Golden Gate Park is my favorite place in the city, and I’m an aspiring sourdough baker.

Let’s Connect

I provide virtual sessions as well as in-person sessions in the Laurel Heights neighborhood of San Francisco.

I offer a free 20-minute consultation call by either phone or video. On this call, I’ll ask some about what you’re looking for from therapy, share whatever might be helpful for you to know about my practice, and we’ll work together to determine if we’re a good fit.
